Ritanew

Regular price 1.7 fl oz , $160.00 $0.00

Daily Photodamage Repair Serum. A weightless AM and PM serum built around three repair enzymes (photolyase, OGG1, and an endonuclease complex), ergothioneine — the master antioxidant — and hyaluronic acid. Ritanew supports the skin's own response to cumulative photodamage, the kind sunscreen alone cannot reach. Defense and repair in a single weightless step.

Best for

For skin that has lived a life — sun, screens, ozone, urban exposure — and the cumulative oxidative load that sunscreen never fully blocked. Ritanew was formulated around a question most anti-aging products quietly avoid: what about the damage that already got through?

Visibly improves the appearance of photodamage. With consistent use, helps reduce the look of fine lines, surface dullness, and uneven tone associated with cumulative UV exposure.

Particularly indicated for patients on GLP-1 medications, where rapid weight loss meaningfully increases systemic oxidative stress. The skin shows it first. Ritanew earns its place in this line because the repair enzyme system addresses exactly the kind of damage the GLP-1 customer's skin is asking for help with.

Recommended for all skin types, including reactive and post-procedure skin. AM as a sealer; PM as a first treatment step.

Key ingredients

Photolyase, OGG1 + Endonuclease Complex (Plankton Extract, Arabidopsis Thaliana Extract, Micrococcus Lysate), a three-enzyme repair system that supports the skin's own response to UV-induced cellular damage already in progress

Ergothioneine, a mitochondria-targeted antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals at the source of cellular oxidative stress, where most topical antioxidants do not reach

Hordeum Distichon (Barley) Extract, a plant-derived complex shown to support antioxidant defense and skin barrier function alongside the enzyme system

Phellodendron + Sandalwood Extracts, botanical complex that calms visible signs of environmental stress and supports a more even-looking tone over time

How to use

Regimen: AM sealer + PM first treatment step.

AM: The last step in your morning routine, before sunscreen. Apply two pumps over your serums and moisturizer. Press into the skin until absorbed, then layer SPF on top. Ritanew seals everything beneath it and adds the day's repair-active layer to your defense system.

PM: The first treatment step at night, on clean dry skin. Apply two pumps over the full face and neck before any other actives or moisturizer. PM is when the skin's own repair processes are most active — Ritanew goes on first so it works alongside them, all night.

Apply across the often-missed territory: the side of the neck, the tops of the ears, the décolleté, the hairline. Repair belongs everywhere defense was supposed to be.

Why Dr. Linkner loves it

Sunscreen is the floor. It is not the ceiling. SPF blocks a meaningful percentage of UVA and UVB before it reaches the skin — but a meaningful percentage still gets through, and infrared, visible light, and ozone are not blocked at all. The damage that gets through accumulates quietly, year after year, as fine lines, uneven tone, and dullness.

Ritanew was formulated to work upstream of all of it, alongside the skin's own repair processes. Three-enzyme repair system. Ergothioneine multiplier. Hyaluronic acid comfort layer. Together they make the formula livable twice a day. It belongs in the GLP-1 line because rapid weight loss systemically elevates oxidative stress — the skin needs this kind of repair support more than usual during that window. But it earns its place in any morning and night routine where the goal is to actually move the needle on photodamage.

This is the serum I reach for when a patient asks what to do about the sun damage they already have. SPF protects against the next exposure. Ritanew works on the rest of it. Together, they are the foundation of every anti-aging conversation I have in my practice — before lasers, before peels, before injectables.
